Hi! I am a stay at home mom to 3 and former special education teacher. I am so excited to continue my role as President for the PTC for the second year. I have a second-grader, a fourth-grader and my youngest is in TK at Buckeye. My goals for this year are to continue to build the bond between families and staff, because together we help the students to be successful. I hope to continue to grow the small and amazing community we have here at Buckeye and help foster long lasting relationships, all while helping the kids to have a fun and successful year. I am so excited for all that is to come this year.

Hi I’m Cassidy and I’m so happy to be Vice President of the PTC board. I’ve been volunteering with miscellaneous events at Buckeye for the last 3 years as I have two kiddos who attend the best school around! My absolute favorite thing is to be out in the garden, planting and getting my hands dirty. I love DIY anything and learning new skills and crafts, my last obsession was stained glass and soap making. I’ve been a 911 Police Dispatcher for the last 13 years and absolutely love my job. I truly thrive on chaos and love to stay busy so this is a perfect role for me and I can’t wait to dive right in.

Sarah Caponera-Secretary

I’m a mom to two amazing girls—one in 2nd grade and one in 5th grade—both proud Buckeye Bobcats! Before my oldest was born, I was an elementary school teacher. These days, I split my time between nannying a sweet 6-month-old, coaching competitive gymnastics, and running my own newborn photography business. This is also my second year helping create Buckeye’s yearbook, which has been such a fun way to capture our school memories. Our family moved to Buckeye from Roseville two years ago, and we’ve felt so welcomed since day one. I’m truly grateful for the warm community here and look forward to giving back by helping the PTC run smoothly and keeping families engaged. My goal as your PTC Secretary is to help keep our school community connected, informed, and organized!

Melissa Brown-Member at large
I’m excited to serve as Member at Large for our PTC this year! With a kindergartener, a 2nd grader, and a 4th grader at Buckeye, I love being actively involved in our wonderful school community. When I’m not working nights as a nurse, you’ll usually find me running on coffee, driving kids to activities, volunteering in the classrooms, helping out at events, or getting crafty for special projects. Our “Small School, Big Heart” motto truly captures the spirit of Buckeye and the incredible community we share. I can’t wait to help make this a fantastic year for our students, staff, and families!
CAllie Mirsky-Member at large
Callie Mirsky is the proud parent of a newly registered kindergartner at Buckeye Elementary, Jacob Smith. She has been a local real estate broker in the area for the past 15 years, manages the Cali Homes real estate team, and loves this community and the people who live here. Callie is married to her best friend, Micah Smith, who owns Tailored Tree Inc. Callie and Micah also have a 2 year old daughter, Isabella, who can't wait to be a Bobcat! They live right here in Shingle Springs along with their 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, and a goat who thinks he's a horse. Callie obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from Sac State in 2006 and attended McGeorge Law School for a year before realizing a career in law wasn't the direction she wanted to go. Callie and Micah are very dedicated to their community and are very involved with local charities, including local dog and horse rescues. She is very excited to be a part of the Buckeye family and can't wait to help out in the years to come!
